Supervising supervisors is a Battalion Chiefs responsibility. Supervising crews is the Captains. Consider the following Complications for 1st line Supervisors
Retaining the Technical Proficiency is different for Battalion Chiefs and Company Officers. Company Officers must cultivate the tactical and task level proficiency for a wide swath of incidents. Battalion Chiefs must lead the cultivation of strategic level engagement with their Captains.
